Hollister Hills

These pictures were taken at Hollister Hills SVRA on June 2nd-4th. The people present were; Me, My lovely wife Shelly, FUGAJohn and Alisa.

 

These pictures were taken on Tank Trap. This trail is where the Tough Truck Challenge is run (although with LOTS of mud and water) This is where RokZuki really shined. I  had no problems until I foolishly attempted the DEEP clay mud pit. It was so sticky that John couldn't even budge me and we had to resort to having a Hummer pull me out! :(   I received my only trail scar of the weekend here, it is a small 1/4 x 1.5 inch scratch on the drivers side fender.

This is the Rock hill on Fremontia trail. I learned an important lesson on this hill, Don't be afraid to floor it! :) I was used to keeping my RPM's below ~5000 and it showed on this hill. I had trouble for a few runs, but after John ran up the hill with no problems I held it at about 5500-6000 rpms and made it also.

On Sunday John and I went for one last run on the "unnamed trail" that we had run on Saturday. I was playing around picking some off camber lines and I got REALLY close to laying it over, although it crawled right out of here it looked impressive! :)
