Rubicon

These pictures were taken on the Rubicon on the July 8th through 10th weekend. This was a GREAT trip through as we met some friends up there. At the little sluice we met Brent and Linda from Trail Tough, Hector, Mike, and Dan.

Brent had broken a Birfield in the Little Sluice and was just finishing the repair when we showed up. We found a crack in his spring hanger while looking over the Birfield repair, so we used my onboard welder to fix it.

These are pictures of one of the many ponds on the trail. The wildlife and scenery here is absolutely amazing!

Hector and I decided to run the Little Sluice after fixing Brent's Birfield and spring hanger. It took a while for Hector to get a good line through, but he made it. A jeep broke down on the first climb and I waited over two hours for him before leaving without getting to run the Sluice. (I ran it on Monday, pics on the next page)

On our way to Rubicon Springs for the night. The scenery up here is breathtaking.

Brent decided to take a "HARD" line over a huge rock and ended up tipping onto his side. We righted it and after cleaning some oil out of the air filter and intake with carb cleaner were able to continue on. There were no injuries other than ego here! :)
